Happy hearts in Africa

July 7th we landed on Kenyan soil - we are finally here!  Here, in the place we separately ventured in 2009, never imagining that because of our work in Kenya, we would eventually meet... and then get married (!). How cool are God's plans?!  We are PUMPED to be back, to meet each other's African friends, some of them mutal friends (who have never seen us together!). This is going to be fun. It already has been.

We are currently staying in Nairobi with good friends, Shaun & Sharon Rix (& Zach), who moved here from the U.S. just before our wedding last year. Shaun is a pilot for Samaritan's Purse. We have enjoyed a glimpse into their world here, realizing that they are a part of life-saving work has made it even more amazing.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our "ease into Africa" by living with them and having this time to do prep for the rest of our time in Africa. We have reunited with some of our African friends already, which has been a great delight!
Thank you for your prayers, support and encouragement. We are still excited to be on this journey together, maybe even more now that we are back working in Africa.
May God use us as He chooses. We are learning to be flexible (!) in the plan-changes that continually come our way. Cultures are different :). Which is what we love about them.
