Secret's Out!

It's TRUE! We snuck home early.

Yes it was planned (since early August), no, barely anyone knew (except those who needed to make the surprise happen for our families and pick us up at the airport).

We landed October 10th in Calgary... never been so glad to be home! It was snowing, but we didn't care.

The travel bug is dead! Or perhaps hibernating.

Our parents (both sets) were surprised to see us (that's an understatement for Kami's mom) and happy to have us "home at last".

We spent 2 weeks with Kami's parents in Wetaskiwin, working on fixing up her dad's barn (painted it and put tin on the roof). We got to watch some of Jadon's volleyball, ride horses with Ashley and Larissa and celebrate Jadon & Riley's birthday's before we left for McBride, B.C. (where we are now).

We have been in McBride a week and a half, helping out Wayne's parents and Robertta. Robertta is 'holding her own', life isn't without struggles, especially knowing what the 'next step is' regarding her brain tumor. Mom and Dad Froese and Robertta are off to Calgary for appointments tomorrow and we are staying at the farm to hold down the fort while they are gone.

When people ask us what our plan is, we tell them "To make a plan!". That's about it. I think we adopted the African lifestyle of living 'day by day'.

Here are a few pictures of our time in McBride on one particularly gorgeous day. Dad Froese and Kami went hunting in the 'back 40' and got 2 bulls (!), we went with dad one morning and shot 7 ducks on the pond and then ate them up. Tonight is butchering some of the raised ducks here... never a still moment.

And so we keep travelling... our country now!

Thanks for following along, so many of you have surprised us and told us that you actually checked in to this blog. Thank you.

Happy to be home,

Wayne & Kami
